Change of Birth Plans!

For our friends and family, I wanted to update you on the change of plans regarding the arrival of Little Miss A.

When I went for my last prenatal check up today, it was discovered that the hospital had booked my C-section with a random OB/GYN I have never met in my life, for May 3rd. Of course I panicked and I am not sure why the OB in question hadn't questioned it...

Anyways, I got things re-scheduled for Monday, May 2nd, the day before with MY OB/GYN! So Little Miss A will be here a day earlier!

Lunch and Counting Down

Today the boys and I had a much needed, and anticipated lunch date with my friend Hillary. She has four sons, two of them which are Camden and Ben's age and we have been trying repeatedly to get together before Little Miss A comes.

To say lunch with 4 boys - 2 three year olds and 2 two year olds was a success is an understatement. We actually had a table of business people come up to us and say we both were "mother of the year" for how well our kids acted. Thanks!

Today marks 6 days until baby is here too... Wow!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! Well at least yesterday! I am a little behind! Yesterday we celebrated in the morning with La La and Na Na, and then in the afternoon with all of my family. Unfortunately in my very pregnant state, I didn't take a ton of pictures.

I did get the kids on their Easter egg hunt in the morning though... they had a blast searching through the back yard for all the eggs that the Easter Bunny left them.



I am hoping to be re-charged shortly after our daughter joins us! I have certainly hit a wall in my pregnancy, especially after nesting again like a mad woman this past Saturday... I can honestly say between Will and I... we got more done in 7 hours than we have in the past month in our house. It felt good, but landed me in bed at 7pm and scrapped the plan of going to my girlfriends bachelorette party. :(

Baby Watch 2011

Baby watch 2011! DUN DUN DUN!

Talk about this child giving us a run for our money! After a late night, and early morning full of preparing, rushing, bag packing, and escorting children to their respective babysitters, I was able to go for the final ultrasound of my pregnancy to see if our daughter is packing the pounds on, or if a delivery on April 20th– my husband’s late grandmother’s birthday — would be the end of the line.

To say I wasn’t anxious all day would be an understatement. I was on the edge of my seat, and my nerves certainly have been getting the best of me. My heart was racing driving to my appointment, sitting in the waiting room, and of course the entire ultrasound.

I am sure the tech could tell that, too, since I just kept talking and talking… I chatter when I am nervous.

After what seemed like forever, the measurements of our daughter were confirmed by the last perinatologist I will see this pregnancy… She grew, again, and has made it up to the 26th percentile! From the 9th, to the 17th, and now the 26th! She is packin’ those little pounds on, and estimated to be around 5 pounds 6 ounces these days. We’ll see how accurate the guesstimate was once she finally gets here…

So now we wait…

Do I go into labor on my own between now and May 3rd?

Or do I go in for my scheduled c-section on May 3rd at 39 weeks and change?

Who knows, but I am just glad she won’t be joining us today!

Dear Man in AutoZone

I thought once Will got home I would be able to get out for a little bit, go to the bakery and get some treats, and just be child free for a whole half hour. I get in my car to drive there... as I pull into the parking lot my check engine light goes on... I was torn between crying and KILLING the guy who sold me the car in October.

I kept calm and decided to drive over to the local auto zone to have one of the nice young men plug the little machine in and tell me what it is... There was a line, so like a normal person I patiently waited till it was my turn.

As the guy was ringing out the person ahead of me, another employee walked in and was punching in and this creepy guy FLIES into the place with a windshield wiper blade in his hand... asks me if I am waiting, and I told him yes... then goes up to the guy punching in and totally cuts the line. In front of me and two others that were behind me.

I could feel my BP creeping up!
Then after finding out it was a lose gas cap, I was getting ready to leave and the guy SMILED AT ME!

In which I replied... "Next time you decide to cut in line... don't cut in front of a woman who is 9 months pregnant ready to give birth IN AUTOZONE!" And walked out.

The two people he cut in front of then proceeded to laugh till they were near tears.

I think I should stay in the house until I give birth... Because who knows what I will do next!

Happy 3rd Birthday Jake!

It seems like yesterday my sister Dawn announced she was pregnant with her second child... and at that moment in time we all insisted she was purely insane considering her only child was 11 years old. SHOCK!

Today Jake celebrated his third birthday, although his real birthday was Thursday. The kids had a blast together... and of course the cake and candy were the highlights... Why wouldn't they have been?

Overall the kids had a blast! Nothing like smiling toddlers playing and getting along to make a nice sunny Sunday afternoon...
