A First for Camden : Oreos & Milk!

The other day, Camden & I sat down for his first glass of milk, and oreo cookies. I must say these are totally my fav's but I wasn't sure how Camden would take to it since he has a lifelong hate for milk...

But despite not being a fan of milk, he enjoyed his cookies for sure!

Next... a Steak!

Today, little Mr. Benjamin... at a whole 8 months and 10 days old... got his first tooth! I am really surprised that it took him so long to finally get his little pearly white considering his older brother had 3 by now!

Congrats Mr. Benny! One step closer to diving into that cake on your birthday in May!

Sunday at Grandma's

I have really been slacking lately when it comes to taking pictures, and posting pictures. Today we went to Grandma Ole's & Grandpa Momo's house for dinner. We had a great time with Uncle Steve and Aunt Cindy too. Too bad we missed Courtney!

STOP! Potty Time!

I never thought I would be as excited, proud, and ECSTATIC as I have been this morning.

Camden was sitting on the couch, minding his own business, and he looks at me and goes "Mommy, Pee in the Potty." So I asked him if he needed to go pee in the potty. He looks at me and goes "Yeahhhhh"

So I took him into the bathroom, got his sleeper off, and took his diaper off, and sat him down. He sat there, said "Pee in the Potty" a couple times. Then Ben started to cry. I told Camden to stay on the potty and pee in the potty and I would be right back.

I came back into the bathroom, and he had actually PEED in the POTTY!

I never thought I would be SO excited about PEE!

This is definitely a HUGE day for all of us and the first step towards my little baby becoming a big boy!

*****EDIT!! Let's add poop to that list now too. We are just having a SUPER awesome potty training day!

Loving the Days with my Boys

I can't help but love the weekends, especially when my husband doesn't have to work on Saturday. Having the whole family together for everything from simple grocery shopping to napping is just a great feeling.
In the next couple months we will have tons on our plate!

Will starts Fire Fighter 1 on Tuesday.
I have my ICAN Panel event next Saturday.
My radio show is becoming weekly.
Cesarean Prevention Classes will be taking place twice a week.
I will be writing a couple pieces for Fairfield County Weekly.
Will is thinking about using his G.I. Bill once he is done with Fire Fighter 1 to get his CDL on the weekends.
So from here until the summer time, it looks like we are going to be one busy family!

I am hoping for the summer months to slow down to only Will working, and my ICAN stuff.

More pictures to come soon, I know our updates lately have been... more boring and less appealing to the eyes. LOL

A Mothers Nightmare!

Yes, that is what the past 10 hours have been for me.
Last night Mr. Benjamin decided to get up at midnight, again at 2:30, and he decided it was time to stay up for the day at 2:30!

Once Mr. Ben finally went to sleep for the night, he decided 5:22am was a perfect time to get up, just after Daddy left for work, so mommy was running on a whole 3 hours of sleep! (If that!)

Fast forward to 9:00am... explosion in his diaper.
All over his outfit, him, and the crib.

I guess this is just going to set the tone for the week huh?

P.S. I have no car again on top of it!

Relaxing Through The New Year...

I must say, I am happy at how much I have got done this weekend. From going through and packing away clothes neither boy, or any other child will see for a LONG time, to bringing down Camden's old stuff to go through for Ben.... packing away the Christmas stuff, cleaned the kitchen... just got a lot of stuff done.

In the mix of it all, I made myself a small list of things I want to get done this year...
  • Complete the CAPPA Childbirth Educator Distance program. (This is my biggest goal for the year and really the only thing standing in the way is the $500+ I need to complete it for the time being.)
  • Lose 30 pounds. I am going to try and get rid of the weight that I just cant shake from my second pregnancy, as well as work on my abs and getting somewhere with this post cesarean pooch. (Though some say I will have it forever)
  • Switch our bedroom with the children's bedroom. The boys currently have the biggest room in the house and as time goes on, my husband and I are needing the room since the boys basically room in with us anyways!
  • Potty training #1... Camden just turned 2 in December, and he is aware of potty, and certainly more vocal than he was when I first attempted this. Now we are equipped with pull ups and going to get started.
  • Work more on my blogs, increase my writing, and broaden my horizons.
  • Improve my cooking skills. I must say, sometimes the last thing I want to do is actually cook dinner, but with my new Rachel Ray pots and pans set, I am hoping to get a fire under my ass.
  • Work on improving our home, we have a lot of small projects we want to get finished, but come the spring, the first thing will be getting our stone walkway laid out, and bushed planted!
  • Take more pictures. While I have been taking more lately, I really feel like I should be taking much more for my boys.
  • Getting all the pictures from our computer onto disks, printed and into photo albums!
  • Create my own recipe book! I have a bunch of recipes laying around, and I want to get a book that I can put them all into, like a binder type deal.
  • Get professional pictures of the children done. I have been meaning to get it done, havent had the time or money. I would love to have a nice picture for our mantel of the family.
I know there are some things that Will wants to get done. But his are more along the lines of the fire department, I know his first goal is to complete Fire 1 which is a class, and a step towards being able to really be a paid firefighter.

But really, I think we will all most likely focus on being a family, being close, and have our boys thrive.
