Rain Rain Go Away!

For any of you that live locally, or even in New England, you know we are getting pelted by a huge rain system right now. Estimated to dump a dangerous 6-7 inches of rain on our already swollen rivers, streams and ponds.

Well like any rain storm, our basement is in jeopardy of getting flooded as we speak. So far, no water, but every time I say that it seems to jinx us.

I am praying for some beautiful weather for this weekend and here on out!

Easter Egg Hunt

Since the children have been sick all week, and Benjamin is still a little worse off than Camden, I left Benjamin at home with Daddy, and I took Camden with Grandpa MoMo to the Lordship Fathers Club annual Easter Egg hunt.Boy did we have a good time! I was extremely surprised at how well behaved most of the toddlers were waiting for the horn to blow for their area, and that the yellow caution tape they used to block the area off actually kept them back as long as it did.
Once the horn blew and the kids KNEW they could go get the eggs, it was pure toddler ciaos! Toddlers trampling toddlers, parents trying to barricade their kid from the stampede of midgets..
In the midst of the ciaos, Camden was lucky enough to get an egg, and we quickly escape to the line to get our chocolate bunny and turn our egg in.So like I typically do, I was the camera woman...Camden patiently waiting with his Cars basket.Look Mom! I am happy even though it is 3 degrees outside!
I want to hang out with MoMo because he is the coolest, and doesn't shove that camera in my face MOM!

Look! I got an egg before all the other kids killed me!

Check out my egg Grandpa!
Then we saw Kaitlyn & baby Kambria
Ok, Can we go home now? LOLSo excited for his chocolate bunny.... Too bad Mommy isn't going to let him down it like all the other parents were letting their kids do on scene! LOL

Spring Has Sprung

At least in our front yard!
Yesterday when I went out to get the mail I noticed a couple small little flowers along what used to be our front walk way before we ripped it up last fall. We are hoping to have it finished this spring as we are considering hiring someone to do it, but I wanted to share the pictures.
Happy Spring!
Soon enough, it will be summer and Ben will be a year old!
Wow! I can't believe that it has been a year already.
Where does time go?

Sick House!

Apparently our home is now the sick house! Camden and Benjamin have both come down with their first case of Croup! Talk about scary for Mommy and Daddy!
On top of that, my allergies are killing me and Will is in the same exact boat!

I hope we feel better before the weather gets nice and warm again!

100th Post!

I can't believe this is the 100th update post on our family. It seems like I just started writing a blog to keep our friends and family updated, and now here it is two years later...To celebrate, I wanted to share new pictures of the boys. They are from two weekend's ago, but I have had a busy 2 weeks and not enough time to put them up!
Camden was having a blast on the swing outside with Aunt Cindy!Ben was hanging out inside with Grandma, and Uncle Steve. Then it was time for dinner and Camden wanted to feed himself. LOL
I got caught in front of the camera instead of behind it like usual. After dinner, we had some play time.Daddy and Grandma had fun posing Ben on Camden's Dump Truck.

Mommy, it is too bright out here! (Daddy trying to hide behind Ben for no pictures LOL)
Camden did a great job sharing with his little brother.
Ben was so funny on Camden's Motorcycle.
Camden didn't care, he got to play on Grandpa's. LOL
Then Grandpa posed for a picture! And the day ended with Grandpa and Camden going for a ride. LOL

It was a great day, and it is nice that the weather is starting to warm up. We are planning on going to the park today sometime. I was going to head down to moms after she got out of work, but I just don't want to wait till after 3!

Itch Itch Itch

I just read my homegirl Kaitlyn's blog, and it is so exciting to hear about the remodeling phase of her new home. Which made me want to write about my struggle with my living room. It seems like we are always taking two steps forward, then our children are messing it one step back. We bought a new couch nearly 3 weeks ago, and because it was a special order, we still are awaiting delivery.
I am hoping this can be the new touch to remodel our living room and make it look... more like a home than a hurricane.

This is the sectional that we purchased...
Because of the set up of our living room, we had to special order the love seat on the left, and the chase lounge on the right, so essentially ours is flip flopped. We also got nice new curtains for our living room sliding doors. Will's Aunt Donna made them by hand and I love the pattern and colors.
I took some "before" pictures of my living room to give everyone an idea of the drastic change this is going to be, but I am not going to put them up until we have the "after" pictures to compare them to. I am looking forward to that day. They quoted us 4 weeks for the delivery of the sectional, so only one more week at most.

Ben's 9 month Well Baby Visit

Today we had Benjamin's 9 month well baby check up with our super awesome Pediatrician Dr. L!Weight : 18 pounds 2 ounces
Height : 30 inches
Head : BIG
LOL!

He is doing awesome all the way around. We had a little finger prick today to test his iron levels, and it was 11.4 which is supposed to be super awesome. He is growing so much and now since he had two teeth Dr. L suggested starting some table foods.
My baby is starting TABLE FOOD!
Wow, where did the past year go?
This time last year I was gearing up, nesting, and getting ready for him to join our family, it is almost hard to remember a time when I was only a mother of one child.

He is going to be TALL! Which I am glad about, no little boy should be short and stubby like I am. He totally takes after Daddy in the height. Well, Ben takes after Daddy in... EVERY way basically.

Next check up is in May, for his one year birthday.
We are starting to toss around ideas for Ben's birthday party too.
Wow, I can't even imagine my little guy is going to be a year old.
I guess I blinked one too many times this year huh?
