Camden's 9 month Well Baby VIsit

Went great. He is now 18lbs 10 oz (15%) 28 1/2 inches (50%) and 46cm for his head (60%)!
His new pedi is awesome, we discussed selectively vaccinating, and what table foods to start.
I am looking forward to that since we got the big OK today.
Took us 3 months to get in with this Pedi because he is in such high demand in the natural parenting community in our area, and he was work ever minute of the wait!

Operation VBAC!

Since I decided we are taking the VBAC route for this new baby, I have decided to also go with a Midwife. I am interviewing two practices of midwives in the state this week, one affiliated with Danbury Hospital, and one affiliated with Yale. I am really bummed out that the birth centers in CT will not do VBAC because of stupid laws. UGH!
Wish us luck, I am hoping to find a great midwife next week!

I Love Money

Totally random and off topic, but I stayed up last night from 10:30-11:30 to watch I love Money and really... there is no reason to watch it anymore. I know next week is the finale, but seriously, the people who are still left should not have made it till the end, and do not deserve to win anything let alone $250,000.

The Country Fair!

We went to the Orange Country Fair yesterday with Will's Dad and his Girlfriend Liz, better known as Grama Poopsie. We had a lot of fun, since we probably won't be able to make it up to The Big E before it ends, this was the next best thing.

Barack The Vote

Earlier today I went to my Alma mater to help register high school seniors, who will be 18 by November 4th to vote and we had a great turn out. 10 seniors in less than 2 hours, which is a lot considering there are less than 18 seniors in the school who will be 18 years old by that date.
I loved what I heard though, so many of the kids talking about Barack Obama, saying they are going to vote for him, so much support in young kids. "If I was 18 I would vote for Barack Obama!"
I love it!

Well, I made a really good, 100% from scratch meal for dinner tonight, and for those who know me well enough, they know that I think hamburger helper is tough! LOL
I made fried chicken (boneless) mashed potato's and cheddar biscuits!
ALLLL FROM SCRATCH!
Will is full and actually thought it was good. LOL I got compliments!

The Gym

I broke down and joined the gym. I have been trying to get back to the body I feel comfortable in since Camden was born, but it hasn't happened yet. So I joined the gym on Wednesday. If anyone wants to go I am a "black card" member so I can bring unlimited guests!

Halloween Costume

We picked up Camden's Halloween Costume today.... he is going to be a turtle. We found the cutest costume ever at The Children's Place, and instead of those cheaply made, crappy, thin costumes that you find in those halloween stores in the mall, this one is warm, thick, and nicely made!


I will post some more pictures of it later on once I have some time to upload pictures onto the computer...

We also got a Barack Obama sign for the front lawn! I am pretty excited. I hope some idiot doesn't steal it though. I went through hell to try and get one.

But my comforter didn't... We ended up putting it in front of the garage door to try and keep water from coming in when something happened to our drains in the drive way....

On a nicer note, today was opening season.. Mommy, Daddy, and Camden all had matching jersey's on, but like always Mommy had to be the camera person.
Patriots won.. 17 - 10 but KC make a cheap play against Tom Brady and it may have ended his season. I hate it when people play dirty like that. That doesn't make you win, or play better... it just makes you look like a douche bag..

Anyways... We redid the living room today.. rearranged things, and put the computer out here so we can redo the office/spare bedroom.

Meeting with Christopher Shays

My meeting was today, and what a meeting it was!!!!!!!!!!
I arrived early because I was anticipating way more traffic than there was on I-95. I got there right as him and his aid were arriving back from The Republican National Convention. (On a side note, he requested to meet at his home because of time issues)
I sat down and spoke with his aid for a good half hour before Chris came out and we spoke, he picked my brain a ton and basically agreed with me that something needs to be done to reduce c-section rates around the country, and promote more awareness of what is really happening. Ladies... our voice has been HEARD!
His aid is now to start investigating if there are any bills in congress or legislation similar to this, if there is nothing, he wants to work on getting something done!
Just a funny side note... His aid... I graduated high school with. LOL!

So I need everyones help on exactly what we need to propose in a bill, and ideas I can give Congressman Shays since he is willing to help.

The Cup!

We have tried to use it before on occasion but he couldn't really figure out how to get the liquid inside into his mouth... He went to town today!

I am so excited, but sad.... my little boy is growing up!

She was called today and notified that she WON!!!!!!

I am glad that the scholarship went to someone who truly deserved it!
