Etsy

I have recently decided I am crafty and started making things and selling them on etsy. The problem is, they aren't selling. LOL
I am trying to figure out at this point what I am doing wrong and go from there, but everyone keeps telling me it is all about networking and patience, which everyone who knows me, knows that I do not have patience at all, and at the same time, my husband is becoming increasingly frustrated at the amount of money going into it, while none is coming out. But all husbands would be.

So I am going to just keep working on it, posting about my shop, and really just try and make more stuff, maybe more than people would want.
So I figured I would post a couple things I have made...

Neglected Blog

Today when I read my best friend's blog about her daughter being a month old, I realized how much I really neglect this blog. I am not sure how many people actually take the time to read our blog or even care, but I figured that I should at least make a valid effort.
I changed the background, and added a couple little personal touches in order to help revive the blog itself, as it has been pretty boring in the past.

This week, myself, and my two boys are battling some kind of stomach bug. I am sure we picked it up over the weekend. It has been festering in Camden, but today it struck me and Ben like a ton of bricks. While the kids are still in semi good spirits, I am not. I was not happy about being awakened at 3am by a toddler throwing up on me. Good times!

This past weekend we brought Camden to his first real "friend" birthday party for his best friend Michael. We met Michael through his father who is also a fireman at Echo Hose.People tell us all the time that they could be brothers and sometimes, we can really see it!

What else is going on in the wonderful world of Elwood? Benjamin had his first solid foods this week. We started with Squash, and he loved it, ate the whole serving and got it all over himself. I can't believe he is 6 months old already, it seems like yesterday he was born.

Doesn't he look like he really enjoyed that? Heck, I would probably enjoy anything if I was given nothing but liquids, and you would too!

I have been thinking back to Camden and Benjamin's births a lot lately, so I decided to put my thoughts, feelings, experiences, and emotions into a video project after finishing the What is ICAN national video which was published last week.
If you want to watch the below video, make sure you have 9 minutes and some tissues, its sappy to say the least.

But all in all, not a lot of exciting stuff is going on with our family. The Holidays are coming and I am trying to coax my husband into letting me put the Christmas tree up and I am failing miserably. Maybe I will update again when we have the tree up and I can post some cute pictures of it?

Long time!

I know I neglect this blog, no one needs to tell me. But I have so much writing going on right now that I try to use facebook for all the "family" updates.

Well, Camden is talking up a storm, and starting to really potty train with the help of Elmo's Potty DVD, and Ben is HUGE! he is already getting into 6-9 month clothes, the same clothes that Camden was wearing this time last year. It is amazing how fast he is growing and thriving.

Here are a couple pics...

Long Weekend

Saturday we ventured out to Stratford Day as a family! Which of course, Mommy and Daddy always forget sun screen for themselves, so by the end of the day we were both members of the infamous Lobster club. After two hours at Stratford day, seeing all those people from high school you really wishes you would never have seen again, literally... it was off to my parents house. Now don't get me wrong, there are some people I was actually happy to see there, but there was a couple that I just wanted to run away from screaming.
Camden had a good time at Grandma's house like always. Went on the super cool new swing she put up in her front yard for him, and then got to run around the back yard till he was ready to knock out, and still refused to nap. Ben, like most other 3 week old babies just kind of hung out. LOL
Once we headed out from Grandma's house, we decided to go down to the seawall in Lordship to get some ice cream, of course by the time we got there Camden and Ben were out cold in the car, so I ran inside and got some ice cream while Will sat with them in the car, and then we drove down the seawall a little bit, and parked. We sat on the wall together and ate our ice cream.
It was a good time...

Getting out!

It was nice getting out of the house a couple times this weekend. It has really been helping me hormonally with my recovery from Ben's birth.
Saturday we went to my parents house, and spent some time. Camden had a blast on his new swing at Grandma's house, and he also got to play with his second cousin (I think that is what she would be considered LOL) Molly. Today we had a nice breakfast at the diner, visited with Will's sister and brother in law, and we had a great time all around.
Such a beautiful weekend.
Here are a couple pictures, and videos...

Settling In

I must say, after the first week home from the hospital, we are all settling in quite nicely. Much easier then Will and I had previously thought. Which is what has given me a few minutes to do the bloggin' thing. Benjamin is an angel baby, just like Camden was as a newborn, and Camden has been a great big brother, minus a couple small bumps in the road, but what do you expect from a 17 month old? No one is perfect right?
We had our post partum visit today with Karen ( my super awesome doula) and we were able to talk a lot about Ben's birth and everything that went along with it. I had such an amazing support system while I was in labor for those long long long 24 + hours. Between Karen, Will, Leigh, and my great Midwife Sarah, I was able to feel so comfortable with everything that happened, including a repeat cesarean that was clearly needed for my very stuck and stubborn son.
I am coming to the conclusion that my husband and I only breed very stubborn little boys.
Which I am also wondering how that will come into play when they are teens. EEP!

But, all in all, I wouldn't change any of it. I love my boys more than anything in this world, and wouldn't change anything.
I never knew how much a parent could love a child, but through all the puke, poop, broken picture frames, spilled drinks, kisses, hugs, and everything else that comes along with the craziness of parenthood... I wouldn't trade any of it for anything. Not even a million dollars!

More pictures will be coming soon, I have to get on the ball with taking them, but I will leave you with one that can truly show the tone of life in our house these days...
